Cabinet Refinishing

This is a very involved process, including setting up the work area, as well as removal/replacement of the doors and drawers, very detailed surface preparation which involves filling holes, lightly sanding all surfaces, vacuuming all surfaces, and wiping on Gloss Off (a liquid cleaner/deglosser that promotes adhesion), application of 1 coat of bonding primer, and 2 finish coats of paint. The finish is typically sprayed on, which results in a fairly smooth, shiny, and durable finish. Cabinet finishing can be as simple as lightly sanding and cleaning the cabinets and applying several clear coats of varnish, or as sophisticated as glazing and distressing over a painted finish, or even something more exotic.
